I need Build UHC Help
Ugh… well, the reason I posted this thread was because I suck so much at BUILD UHC, I was wondering any pros out there with 1500-2000 could give me some tips to be really good at this. I see alot of youtubers play Build UHC, so I decided to try it out but if you go to my profile then you will see how many matches I lost, I honestly suck at dis.

I don't have 1500 right now, but last season I got up to 1544. I'd say learn to rod crit, blockhit when the time is right, and make sure you use your blocks to section yourself off from your opponent when you need to gapple (that way they can't shoot you, and it takes them longer to get around and hit you).

When the match starts, shoot a couple of arrows at your opponent then pregap and melee him. Now the fun part comes. Dont just insta rush him with a sword. Rod him 5-6 times, and when he makes a push, rod him and go in for the combo. Use the combination of w-taping(quickly pressing "W" key while advancing) and blockhitting. If he runs, follow him and if he decides to heal up, place lava under him and crit the living crap out of him. Heal when you feel you are low. Now if your opponent just starts to bow you from the start of the match, just wall up and wait for him to come to you. Focus on your rod hits, as soon as you learn how to rod him without missing 3/4 times, you will get easier combos. And don't forget to strafe, its probably the most important melee "move" that 90% of players know how to do. Don't get me wrong, straightlining works too,but its inefficient at some situations and not that approved in this community.

Hope I helped :)

Learn to use a rod to start combos, as well as work on switching to different items fast, just see what works best for you. Also, get ideas from the real pros who have YT videos (I recommend Hivlik or Tylarzz)

This advice is gonna allow the other person combo the shit out of you if you dont do it right, especially when you are learning. I use hit boxes, rod where they are going to run and then click fast and strafe them

Also, looking @ your matches, you put steak in your hotbar. Don't bother with it, replace it with an extra lava/water bucket.
