I think it would be a great idea if players would be able to make nether portals before PvP, because it's very dangerous entering nether because you normally spawn with other players.Please comment what you think! :-)

You used to be able to do this, but it just made nether rushing easy and therefore people got pots a lot. This makes it riskier to go for pots. If you don't get killed then it can pay off, but you've got to be willing to take the risk.No risk, no reward.
