What I think of Season 13
Rating system: I like the concept, but it needs some tweaking. While before with ELO it was too easy to gain/lose ELO, now in my opinion it is slightly too difficult. The first 20 games are very important, or else you will spend a long time trying to work your way up. To fix this it would be nice if you got placed in a game with a player who was quite a bit better than you on rare occasions. Again, not all the time like in previous seasons, just once in a while. This gives you a chance to prove yourself and gain some points.

Knockback: So many people are complaining about there not being enough. To me it seems like sometimes there is a lot of knockback, and other times there is very little. Not sure what is going on. I don't mind less knockback, but please don't make it fluctuate. I don't mind it too much though.

Lag: The lag was really bad when it first opened, but it seems to be better now.

Maps: Boring with very little terrain and other obstacles, at least in Build UHC. Come on Badlion, in a real UHC fights occur in all kinds of terrain and obstacles are something you have to deal/work with. There needs to be a lot more obstacles in the maps. Not a fan of the current maps at all.

The multiple server system: Seems good to me, I don't really notice it which is a good thing I guess.

Unranked matches: By far the biggest improvement in my opinion. No more chat filled with duel requests.

Kits: I only really play Build UHC so I am not sure about the others, but why are there still 64 arrows? Didn't the community vote in favor of 32? I could be wrong, but I really was hoping for 32 to make sure that everyone has to use a combination of bow and sword.

The maps are far better than in s12, atleast for the other ladders. No more jump shotting and corner camping

The only thing i like about it are the map 120+ fps which is amazing, so far all the reset sucks

Half of the earlier s13 complaints were that maps were too big, since this is all personal bias this is not really a valid point
PvP in minecraft is best experienced in flat terrain, how would you feel if someone were to camp a hill and never leave, just repeatedly kept hitting you off. As for obstacles, almost every single map in s13 has trees and in s12 only very little maps had hills, you don't really make sense there.

Boring isnt even a valid point, intricate maps with volcanos, hills, rivers, holes,buildings,bridges would be distracting and could cost you the game if you get glitched in stairs or such.
Maps should not even be on the table as a complaint
