Attack on titans, it is a good anime, also SAO and Deathnote.My fav is High School Of The Dead.

1) Hunter x Hunter 2011 (148 eps)
2) No Game No Life (12 eps)
If you decide to watch HxH2011, then
1) Make sure its the 2011 version
2) Give it at least 5 episodes, many people don't like the beginning

fullmetal alchemist same sort of deal though it's a little bit lackluster
akame ga kill - never really saw the appeal in it but it's definitely an action show that's generally well regarded
and same goes with kill la kill
neon genesis evangelion - classic mecha drama that's generally regarded to be a must watch
those are all decent entry shows to watch if you're just starting off
