Well, let me just say this is a big problem in the community, 3 big problems in the community a Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) Documents (Dox) and especially Toxicity

I'm going to start with a DDoS Attack and Threats. A Distributed Denial-of-Service is where you have a botnet which sends packets to a router and it goes offline for at most I believe 20 minutes, also a fun fact who don't know DDoSing in North America, Australia, Europe and many more countries is breaking federal law and illegal in most countries it breaks the Abuse Act and The Computer Act of 1976, if breaking FEDERAL LAW over a block game just because you lose 1 match your very sad, and very pathetic. If DDoSing is cool to you, you need to think this over again. People buy and make money off the computer it might be the only way people buy stuff and only work on the computer and taking that away from them and making them lose money is a dick move. Why would you break a law over a game, it's sad and unacceptable it's not right and this problem needs to stop right now. I will talk more about this more in this appeal. Threats are also illegal

Documents AKA Doxing is highly illegal it's more illegal than DDoSing. Doxing isn't to bad in this community but it still happens inside this community, but Doxing is where you look up someone's IP and broadcast it to the world. How would you feel if that happened to the people who doxed you your name, phone number, email, pictures are on the Internet permently I've been doxed once and I had to contact the federal law, it was so scary it wasn't even funny, why in the fuck would you even think about thinking about to do this to someone you must be a real criminal if you actually have the guts to do this, if going to jail for 5-20 years is funny over a block game your a real scum. Even though this doesn't happen much in the community this needs to end, I will also be talking about this later in this thread. Threats are also illegal

Toxicity, racism, suicide encouragement, death threats, homophobic slurs all freedom of speech and happen a lot in the community, in a UHC I see it, in Arena I definitely see it, in SG I see it and it is completely unacceptable, people need to stop taking a game so seriously I always see this on Twitter "Minecraft 2012, your so cool I wish I was you Minecraft 2016, Kill yourself nigger waste of life" would you ever say that to someone in real life or are you just a sad cyber bully acting all tough because it's the Internet and your safe, in my state Cyber Bullying is illegal and it's a state law it's about 10 years in jail, just by saying Kill Yourself, do you want to be known as a mean person because I would want to be known as a nice person and a kind person in the community not some mean scum, someone might actually be thinking of committing suicide or get offended to racism, just because someone is a asian or a black person or a muslim. Also would like to say one thing if you tell people to kill yourself and they actually do and the police find out you can go to jail for homoside and other laws this is true you probably thinking well it's a block game you can't go to jail because of it, umm YES YOU CAN. What's the point of being toxic, is someone mean to you at school and you want to take your anger out on someone who's trying have a fun time playing a game, stop this behavior it's not right, it's mean and very rude and disrespectful. END THIS NOW

Let's talk about something that should change in this community with some new rules and a new mute system.
1. Any Form of DDoS or Dox and your caught or someone reports you and found guilty depending on the severity should be a IP, Blanket ban or Blacklist, just because it's federal law and no way of coming back to the server and call the authorities in there area and I know just because he said it on a forum contact there parents and tell them what they've been doing
2. Anyone being disrespectful, racist, encouraging suicide, toxicity and death threats depending on the severity should be one month, 2nd offense 2 months, 3rd offense 3 months I know it's a long time but people need to learn and no mute evading or extended mute time

Also lets go over DDoS laws
Anyone under 18 commiting a DDoS attack is a $1080 fine
Over 18 depending on the severity 1 year to 20 years

Let's ip/blanket ban/blacklist only if there's actual solid proof of ddosing being carried out, threats are stupid but almost always just empty rage statements.

I said if caught or you have proof of the player commiting the attack, but if you look it up threats to foreign countries, threats in general are considered illegal

As a person who's done an intership at a law firm, I can assure you that most of these legal facts are incorrect.

As for the bans, we already do - as long as there is evidence.

Ehh… I find laws interesting, but DDoSing and Doxing is federal law, the 20 years might now be accurate but it should be atleast 10 years if I'm not right, but what about the toxicity? Do you agree or disagree think there to big? But this problem should end

The laws for DDoSing are very bland. As for DOXing, you can dox anyone until you're blue in your face (mostly); but it's the distribution that's the illegal part.

We have a set of rules. I agree with some of the things in this post but if every single law that was not followed was actually followed through with (underage drinking for example) half of the country would be behind bars.
