1400elo = Silver???
Bit confused atm, heard people say that 1400 elo is equivalent to silver IV, or that 1400 is equivalent to silver III or Silver II. If someone could confirm this that would be mint bc i'm curious xd

1400 and Silver III are similar but can't be directly compared. They are both the middle of the spectrum because in elo the gain and loss are the same and all players start with 1400, and with MMR Silver III is most likely where someone who goes 5-5 in placements will be placed.

I will explain due to experience and math:
You start with Silver II 0 points or Silver III 1000 points; it makes no difference because there are no promotion matches in qualifying.
The first match you play you'll win/lose ~500 rating if I'm not mistaken, it can vary though.
The second match will slightly decrease that number, and third will as well, and so on and so forth.
I did some math with global (since I have a couple ladders I haven't played) and if you set the not placed ladders equivalent to Silver II it will give you an accurate global, meaning you do indeed start with Silver II 0 points.

Tl;dr: I did probably too much math for a block game and you start with Silver II 0 points.

Explains why the highest you can get is gold 5
