A scientific theory is very different from what you would consider a theory. From Wikipedia:
"A scientific theory is a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world that is acquired through the scientific method and repeatedly tested and confirmed, preferably using a written, pre-defined, protocol of observations and experiments. Scientific theories are the most reliable, rigorous, and comprehensive form of scientific knowledge."
Essentially, evolution is fact.
Humans have no idea what their past is. Evolution is just a theory, not confirmed if you ask for proof. Are there pictures taken from millions of years ago?Oh wait there are skeletons? what if those are actual ape skeletons? Our past remains a secret for as long until the technology of time travelling exists(aka never)

"Jesus never existed because there are no pictures of him"
"The pyramids were built by aliens because there's no pictures of the Egyptians building them"
Did you read what I said about a scientific theory? It IS confirmed, backed up by extensive scientific proof. Are you telling me that you believe that you know better than scientists who spend their lives studying this?
And anyway, evolution and natural selection happen in real time. How do you think bacterial drug resistance functions?

Give me one single shred of evidence that it's false?
While I'm at it, here's a bunch of evidence of evolution:

Little bit of everything:

This took maybe ten minutes to compile, because there is that much overwhelming evidence out there.

I just read this argument about drugs and I kinda can relate to this as well. Some of the Senior High students would often smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol like there is no tomorrow. The country that I live in right now, the Philippines, has this anti-drug campaign where they search all the houses with suspected individuals living there to see if they do drugs or not. You probably heard this on the news. In my perspective, America would get screwed over anyways since they don't have the best candidates.Posted on 24 October 2016 - 01:37 PM

You fundamentally do not understand science.
But you are still entitled to your viewpoint.

There is nothing wrong with what I said.
He clearly doesn't understand the underlying (fundamental) premise that science is not something you can necessarily prove.
I cannot prove that gravity is a result of curved spacetime. I cannot prove that evolution is real (In that sense, HarrisAz is correct).
However, these are the BEST explanations that we have, and when the theory consistently matches and predicts experimental results, that is most likely the explanation we will accept.
Thus, HarrisAz fundamentally doesn't understand that we are not proving these ideas, but instead accepting these ideas as the best explanation that we have at the moment.
Google that and post a screenshot.
