If you get ddos it is kinda at fault. Not entirely but at least 20%No one told you to get on a sketchy ts.
No one told you to add that randy on skype.
But if it is their fault for trying to ddos you, and being a asshole overall.

exactly
If they already have your ip a vpn is utterly useless because your connection is still routed through your router, which is what they will be hitting offline.

People can only really have access to your ip on a teamspeak server if they own the server, if you only use reliable, public ones such as Badlions you should be fine
People don't usually use ts resolvers to get your ip, people usually get your ip from fake links / skype. If someone on a randy server ever asks to screenshare you and gives you a join.me link on teamspeak, it's probably best not to open it, people are able to disguise the real web address of links on teamspeak and a harmless looking join.me link can be a link that when opened, can send them your ip, or in my own lovely experience of being sent a fake link, a screamer

ask your isp to change your ip. Or get a dynamic ip. Or restart your internet once you have a dynamic ip

You never get DDOS'D from connecting to Badlion on your real IP.Go read up on some VPN applications that allow you to proxy only certain applications. The short answer is no, you cannot use a VPN during the tournament.
You can VPN other things though. Or just go uninstall Skype and go onto Discord to save yourself the hassle after you change your IP.
