Supply gathering, give everybody jobs to help us set up civilization so they have something to dedicate themselves to and they don't get bored + start fighting each other. Other than that I'd make sure there are weekly gatherings of the entire group, so disputes would be harder to fester into something uncontainable.

It's certainly an interesting community. It's run by Youtubers, who have more sway in this community than just about any staff member. It's got a cancerous hive mind based on the opinions of a few elites in the community. But that inner circle - that elite community - is actually one I'm very fond of. As a whole, the community is unhealthy, but its leaders are a very tight circle, and a very well balanced circle as well. And even though the community doesn't have people smart enough to make their own decisions, at least they are modeled after a very well dressed bunch, if you will.

It's not so much that I think they'll "fall apart" as much as I believe they won't really add anything. Not to say that is the fault of any of the community managers - I think they're all at least partially well versed in how the network works - but I don't see any need for the position. That's part of the reason I did not apply myself.
I think they can, but no, I don't think they will. I have a very specific idea of what the leaders of the community should look like, and I know that the leading CMs/Archy have a different vision. And under that vision, again, I don't see how they augment community-staff interaction to be any better than it already was.
I don't know you, at least not well, but I recognize your name in that you seem to be a new, particularly motivated staff member. I've seen people like you before, and I hope you don't fall into the same trap they did - don't overwork yourself, or you'll burn out and turn into a cynical old inactive moderator like myself whose only merits are your past performances and your unique comfort with criticizing the hive mind.
