So apparently there is a glitch in 1.7 that if you hit someone with a rod and get a crit on them at the exact same time it will count the rod hit as a sword hit, but whenever I try this in singleplayer with damage indicators it just counts the 2 hits as 1. for example, if my sword does 8 damage normally then it will do 7 damage then 1 right after. or am I just doing it wrong?[EDIT] Okay thanks everyone, I think I figured out how to do it now.

^^^^ That's why shooting someone with a bow in diamond right before critting them is so effective.
