HELP ME (hardrive issues)
So I currently own a hardrive that has 931 gb of storage. I have only 19 left. I tried to use CCleaner and that only took up more space then it cleaned. To make sure I didn't have a virus I used an anti virus and I came up clean. Then I also did cleaning. I tried cleaning up disk space using window's option but it only gave me a few mb. HOW DO I GET RID OF JUNK?

If you have videos recorded using a recording software such as Action or Shadowplay or Fraps, delete all the unnecessary ones. Those take up hella space. If it doesn't work or anything then DM me on twitter @ji6ran.

Ummm I don't think you used CCleaner right, every time I used it it would clear at least a GB or two.
How tf do you use all of that space?
I only use like 200GB of a 512GB HDD.

Protip: delete your downloads folder.

I deleted everything I don't need in download folder.

iTunes backups take up loads of space so see if you have any of those. And like EhhThing said you should download something like space sniffer to see what takes up so much space

Bump.

I deleted a txt document that was 825 gb large…. was that safe?
I found a file called Browserhelper.txt and it was 825gb big. About 8/9 of all my disk space. Safe to delete?

I think thats malware.
Download malwarebytes https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/thankyou/ and install it. Scan for viruses.
Its definiately not a system file because I dont have it on my computer.

Any file 800gb large should be deleted right away anyway.

Is the location something like "C:\Users\{YOUR USERNAME}\AppData\Local\BrowserHelper\"

I scanned it with 2 different antivirus programs, came up clean. Also it's not usually 800gb lol, the Internet said it was 112 kb
