I'm new to playing UHC on Badlion and had a question about enchanting in game. I was playing a game last night, and I was unable to combine two prot I chestplates to get prot II - they would combine but when I put them on, they broke apart (although I was able to combine two sharpness swords - weird). Also, the enchanting table lists the enchants in code.

Any insight? My minecraft is set to play in 1.11.2 - should it be set to a different version?

If it's on 1.7, it works. That's because 1.8 changed how the anvil works
