I'm going to put more thought into this since I know the Badlion community can handle this better. I don't want any flaming. I posted this on the Hypixel's forums and I'm going to be posting it on this forum board. I'm just collecting opinions from both communities, minus MineHQ because I'm too lazy to use reddit. I'll probably DM Jhalt asking some questions but yeah. I want to hear opinions and other things. I'm bored.1a. What are your current thoughts on Hypixel?

What are your current thoughts on Hypixel?My current thoughts are that hypixel may be a very fun minigame sever to play on however due to their horrible anti cheat and not qualified staff, banning cheaters is near impossible. I think if they fixed the anticheat and taught staff better the server would be more playable.

Answered above, barley works and only becomes an annoyance rather than stop people .

I think the staff team is too childish and taught poorly. I have talked to members of the staff team and they are horrid at detecting what hacks are and look like. The majority of the people I have also talked to do not have much experience in banning cheaters and they leave that for higher up members.
2a. What're your current thoughts on Badlion?
My current thoughts on badlion are as follows, The community is split right now due to competitor products and advertising. I think the players themselves are confused on what they actually want and they will be more excited to play when ELO comes back next season. I think people have been to quick to judge premium and need to give it an actual chance prior to making a full opinion on the product itself. I think the community is coming back and cycling to a point where it feels like it did years ago and that is having a positive overall message from the players. I feel until season 15 comes out the players will be in a "twilight stage" where they do not know how to feel about the current stance of things.
2b. What are your thoughts about Badlion's Anti-cheat?
I think their anti-cheat is the top one out there and currently does the best on banning players and having near no false bans.
2c. What do you think about Badlion's staff team? Could they be doing better?
I think they are doing quite well now, there have been a few problems with former members recently but that is nothing special. I think the staff team just needs a little mental adjusting and it will be all good.
3a. What are your current thoughts about MineHQ?
I think they do a good job at providing potpvp gamemodes however I disagree with several of their choices and actions. I do feel they have a sort of "black spot" in the community for past issues and stances and I am unsure how trustworthy cheatbreaker will be. I can not say I look forward to the release because I think it was made mostly for the purpose of taking people from premium.

I do not play on ther enough to make a formal opinion.

Hypixel staff and anti cheat are cancer.Badlion staff are awesome and the anticheat is top notch. We might need a judgement day soon though 😬.
MineHQ is an incredible server that is as close to Kohi as it can get. Staff there are great, and the anticheat is awesome as well.
To sum it up, Hypixel can't compare with the other two due to shit KB and shit hit reg, and the fact that the whole community is under 12. Badlion and MineHQ will soon become brutal competition once S15 comes. Both servers are great and I enjoy playing on them.

LOL HYPIXEL IS THE WORST. its like they dont even amplify an anti cheat basically the only way to get banned is blatantly hacking which you would be a dumbass to do so and the staff at hypixel are like fucking 10 year olds that don't have a clue or give a shit about the server or what they're doing.Last edited on 03 June 2017 - 12:18 AM by UVpickles

I don't like it, but they are all normal people just like me and you. As individuals, they aren't bad people, but as a group they collectively, and blindly, follow a cause that they are forced to follow. Any criticism is just shut down with a warning or demotion. A lot of them also have no idea wth they're doing. I understand that some of them play non-pvp related minigames, but they barely know how many blocks you can hit in multiplayer, which is scary considering they can ban for KA.
2a. What're your current thoughts on Badlion? It's going through a time of change. The server is in an awkward stage where it is not really liked by the community, but also admired by it. I think these upcoming months will be a give or break for Badlion personally. However, Badlion is very open to change, and listens to the community overall. With the community being one of the priorities, I think Badlion will succeed in one way or another. I'm not saying Badlion is perfect, there are obviously a lot of things that need changing,
but I think that the server is just generally open to new ideas to make it better.
2b. What are your thoughts about Badlion's Anti-cheat? Honestly, I think it's pretty damn good. If you don't know, I practically no life this server modding, and I have so many bans stolen by GCheat, and have seen first hand that closet cheaters get banned. Obviously,
it isn't perfect, and needs a lot of improvements. But yet again, I think it is hands down the best server-side anti-cheat in Minecraft currently. I hope it only improves in the future. Also, if you compare the numbers against other anti-cheats, it easily puts a majority of anti-cheats to shame.
2c. What do you think about Badlion's staff team? Could they be doing better? Well, I have mixed feelings on it. I think it is very organized and effective. Reports are handled fairly quickly, and appeals are handled at an eh speed. However, the staff team is pretty cliquey, and broken up into separate friend groups. This doesn't really effect the effectiveness, but rather the overall chemistry of the staff team. And personally, I think there are too many people who get by being lazy, and don't do their jobs to their potential. I understand that people have lives, are busy with other things, and are generally bombarded with work for the server, but many higher ups stop putting in effort into the server, which slows down reaction time to the players a lot in some scenarios.
3a. What are your current thoughts about MineHQ? Good for them, they are doing well. I don't play the server enough to have a complete opinion on them, but I think that what they are doing to make Minecraft more cheat free is a good thing overall. Not only because it makes Minecraft more cheat free, but because it is forcing Badlion to compete, which pressures the devs to make a better product quickly.
Overall speeding up innovation and development.

I don't really know much of them. All I know are the experiences that I've seen when a certain admin comes onto the Badlion/Hypixel forums to say whatever he needs to say about something. I can't really label an entire staff team based off of one guy, sorry.

1b. needs some serious attention. people joke about people who put Japanese symbols in chat are either trying to be funny or they're bhopping, the latter usually being the case
1c. they do a really good job, but if there were more staff in game it'd be a hell of a lot better

I like hypixel a lot to have fun for some time in a kinda relaxed and more arcade way, but thats as far as it gets, there isnt any minigame that I like enough for me to try-hard stats or do anything in a deep way. If im bored I know I can always hop on hypixel and be entretained for some time.

I have never seen any hypixel staff ever, and since I was never banned nor muted on the server, and never went to the forums; I ve never talked or seen any staff in action.

Badlion is my current fauvorite server, I feel that it has a lot of player retention on those that like the server, might be a little tought for new un-experienced players to join since they will loose a lot of matches/games until they get the satisfaction of winning something. I think its now going through a bit of a hard times since its taking a bit more that expected to release all the new features, that added to the fact that now it has some more competition. But im confident that it will rise once again, the owners had a LOT more experience that people might think and the server has farr to much work and life for it to die.

The badlion anti-cheat is, for what I see, the best anti-cheat there is. However its been a couple months since its last update and its starting to affect the player base. I believe Badlion has a harder fight against cheaters that other non-competitive servers like hypixel since on hypixel people just cheat really blatantly just for the fun of it, when on Badlion there is a lot more of people that closet cheat since they want to be on the leaderboards, which a lot harder to catch.

I might be biased on this answer since im staff myself so ill just say my opinion the staff team from my POV. From my experience as moderator I´ve seen that it takes a lot more work than what you might see as a player. Its crazy how much work they do, in fact if today I was promoted to a senior (Which is not gonna happen since im one of the newest staff members) I would have to refuse the offer, because I dont think I could be able (right now) to deal with all the First person evidence that its super hard to see if they are cheating or not and many other stuff.
If they could be better, of cousre they could. there isn´t such thing as a perfect staff team and you can always put a little more time on moderating. but in terms of "strategy" on how to deal with cheaters I have no clue how to improve, simply because I have not put time on thingking a new way.
(I have never played on minehq so i wont talk on this)
Also could you link the post on the hypixel forums that you made o this subject? I would like to see their opinion since I have little to no knowlege on what other communities think about badlion (besies the "Badlion sucks I play X generic pot server thats much better, got Gcheated twice" type of guy)

Trash; friend of mine was stuck in the air during a skywars match after the cage let off, and he got banned for fly hacking from a screenshot. They also care about bans from years ago

Faster answers, have a separate part of the staff solely to review reports. Some higher-ups on the team are bad at analyzing cheats

horrible, never bans any cheaters meanwhile I got 30 watchdog entities flying around me for killing players while playing with regular 1.8

to be honest I only saw a staff member once the whole time of playing hypixel lol, they should be more active and get more educated about what is a hack and what isnt

currently in a dying state, can be brought back to what it was in the pre- season 13 time easily if s15 turns out good

at its current state, not as good, considering it didnt get an update since s13 or s14 launch its doing fine I guess, some blatant cheaters still get through it easily

I think they are somewhat inactive ingame, atleast the arena part, they could definitely be doing better just as any other staff member on any other server, once again s15 should fix mod inactivity on arenapvp
