Honestly I don't think iron was such a good kit. Most of the top players weren't especially good at bow/shortrange, they were just very sweaty, played like you would do in SG, saving arrows, run to heal, etc. I've only seen one player that was really above that and managed to win against good players without playing like that (and he doesn't even like the kit).
I agree with the fact that there should be more bow kits, but I don't think that's really possible, and iron is basically diamond except you don't have to melee (bow is impoortant in diamond). So yeah it's a -1 for me, UHC is good and Archer is Archer
EDIT:
Some of the maps make this kit even worse, where people hide behind cactus to avoid bow, can't really call that a bow ladder if you can just do that to win.

Same advice as Guep tbhPosted on 02 July 2017 - 11:27 AM
But the fact is that if Iron is removed, there would just be 2 bow ladders left and that's really not enough.Even if it's clearly not the most skilled ladder in terms of bowing/aiming, some people seem to enjoy playing more strategically, and with SG and Diamond that's one of the best kits to play this way, so removing this kit would also set aside this part of the community and that's not a good thing imo

That's not what I said
I said that iron is basically diamond with less/no melee, and I precised that bow is very important in diamond (not as much as in iron, but more than what people who don't play often might think)
Basically I said that it's useless to have 2 kits that are so similiar (I understand that people want to keep it though, not many bow ladders now)

They are both no where near same, yes similar but both require different skill sets. In diamond bow comboing is the priority in Iron it is doing damage with the bow
