ping is being a b##ch and wont stay still
I didn't do anything different and now im getting really triggered. I haven't changed isps, nothing changed with my provider or ip, all my drivers are up to date and I get 5 bars in game and in windows. My upload and download speed hasnt changed, everything is the same except my frickin ping. Ookla speedtest tells me i have 12ms but when i connect to a server that i NORMALLY get 30 ms STABLY, i instead get 30ms, 1 second later it shoots to 90ms, then to 70 then to 45, then to 120, then to 30 again, then to FLIPPIN 240! As you can see, these spikes make my gameplay extremely laggy, one second i would be comboing someone, the next the game freezes and then my opponent teleports behind me and im in lava. How do i solve this

(tested on multiple servers, the opponent freezes in midair, i get particles but no hits register, suddenly i take a truckload of damage and hes somehow behind me)

Give me your PC specs, what OS are you running, are you running other apps at the same time, have you recently installed to your PC, wifi or cable, if using wifi, have you checked in what channel is running and if it is an empty channel in your area ?

Go to your router's domain. So for example you would type in your web browser's address bar "192.168.1.1" or something like that. For some people it's different. Anyways, type tbat, it'll ask you for your username and password. In most cases, the username is "admin" and the password is "password" or "admin". After that navigate to your security settings, or router settings (however it's configured for your ISP) and try to find a place where you can edit the channel. For example, my router has channels 1-11, with 1 and 11 being the cleanest. Just change the channel that your router is set on and see if that helps.

Or if you're near the router, use 5ghz.
Or even better, use ethernet.
in my case I have a laptop so that would be aids

Ethernet is impossible because the cable isn't long enough and I can't move the computer. Also my adapter is 802.11b, which means it only picks up 2.4

The thing that i suspect is that you are having signal interference with another router sending the signal in the same channel, you can check with your phone, just download an app called Wifi Analizer and check in what channel is your router working and your neighbor's working, and it would be even better if you manage to get ethernet, i buyed a cable in Office Depot, 25meters, it cost me 6$
