Reflection on Badlion since June-ish
I think Badlion has done a great job these last months. They have listened to what the community wants, and answered quickly. They have came out with games like uhc run, domination, uhc sg, mini uhc meetup, community uhc, and capture the wool. Badlion has came out with some great new games, and they had their peaks.

UHC RUN: I think uhc run is great and all, but has a poor player base. Well designed, and developed, but with other games on the rise, this has greatly dwindled since release.

DOMINATION: Once again, another great game that started off strong, and fell off quickly. I personally think badlion should keep domination, as it is a lot of fun.

UHC SG: I personally did not like badlion coming out with this as I played it on the park a lot. I wasn't sure why, but it just felt different. However, it did well and the community enjoyed it. I think it may have been too similar, and was too much like sg. Also, when this was at its peak, (currently has 0 players on NA) it took a lot of popularity from regular survival games on the network temporarily.

MINI UHC MEETUP: Great idea to follow the "speed up" meta. I believe this will be a favorite for a long time. However as great as this has been, I think it has been the cause of why other games have lost all player-base a few months after their releases.

COMMUNITY UHC: Great idea to get people to buy ranks, and has been a great success. Great design as it is simple for less knowledgeable people to host games.

CAPTURE THE WOOL: Great game, lots of fun developing strategy to win. It also brought out the other side of competitiveness in those who can fast bridge, and staircase at amazing speeds. Watching clips of the diamond series tournament shocked me at the strategy some teams used such as pureblox.

ARENA PVP: I think switching back to elo was a good idea, and a bad one. I think elo can never truly tell how good a player is. I still hope they had the diamond rod or skywars kit into ranked this season, or bring back advanced uhc or ironbuilduhc. Those kits helped global players like myself out. Also, there are many elo manipulators this season getting to the top elo in certain kits, which makes being a legit top player rather regardless if everyone above you cheated in some form. Especially after an elo manipulator is caught, their elo is never wiped when it specifically says in the rules that it will be.
Conclusion:
I think Badlion has hit the nail on the head, and is at its prime right now. However, with all these new games to play, some games' interest have died. I remember when survival games was filled, you had to wait for a game to end to start a new one, and now there is usually 12-18 players per game. I think with mini meetup coming out, uhc meetup has also taken a toll. As of right now there are 150 players on mini uhc meetup, to 25 on regular meetup. I think Badlion needed a higher player-base before adding 3 or 5 games around the same time, as some dont have any players right now because one has out-shined the other. Also, I think adding elo to games such as meetup, and sg was a mistake. I think these gamemodes should be left with stats only to see who is the best.

I personally agree. Badlion has made massive steps in the right direction in terms of competitive Minecraft. The Diamond Series Tournaments went really well and were great fun and really showed a positive towards the ability to one day have a Competitive Minecraft experience.

Some of the new game modes flopped for a bit, like UHC Run, Domination, CTF are dead game modes to play in terms of causal playing (They don't often have many players). However, in terms of Tournaments for CTF and Domination went very well!

I am very excited for what's to come on The Badlion Network in 2018, and I hope to see the next big step to Minecraft Competitive soon.
