I do not think that ghast.io actually provides ANY benefits.According to their web page they do not interfer with minecraft directly, so if you get BAC banned, they likely made a false claim.
This is my personal opinion and the tester rank does not include unique knowledge about the anticheat.

Ghast.io is not bannable since it only changes your network settings, although Janmm14 is mistaken in my opinion. I have seen the effects of it with my own eyes, for full disclosure I am the owner of the product, but you can also ask people who have used it or check out the Trustpilot page.
