My sound sin't working but only in 1.8.9

I was in MC for a couple hours afking it and for whatever reason i come back and it's not allowing me to hear itr I went into sound settings and turned master volume to 100% and everything to 100% and didn't work so I switched to 1.14.4 and it workied without any problems I don't know why this happened please help me with this thank you :).Posted on 18 October 2019 - 06:40 PM

Hello, I hope you are having a great day, if you are playing on the BETA test for Insiders then it is a known issue already that sound hasn't been working, if you are not on the BETA version, then I would recommend checking your speakers/headphones, making sure your volume is at your desired level, and if that doesn't work click "ESC" and click on "Reload Resources" in the bottom left corner of the screen. Soda yeah switching over to non-beta worked thank you so much :) just kinda want Ab addons so kinda sad i cant use it rn.
