"The ordinal 345 could not be located..."
Hi,

This is my first time using the Badlion Client. After the installation has completed and the "Launch program" box is checked, the launcher runs fine. I can register a profile and the launcher can run download & run Minecraft.

But after that initial launch, the client refuses to launch, throwing an error as follow:
"The ordinal 345 could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files\Badlion Client\Badlion Client.exe."

I have tried reinstalling the client twice, once by going directly to the program's directory and running the uninstall .exe file and once with RevoUninstaller, both with computer restarts inbetween.

Googling for a solution, the only relevant thread that I've found to this problem is this thread which doesn't solve my problem. Another source tells me to download some dlls and to replace the dll in System32, which I don't want to do because its System32. After posting my problem in the Discord server, a staff told me to post it here.

Hold this thread up.

It might be a "me" problem. All of my electron programs are throwing the same error after Badlion installation.

I am no sure what to do / fix this problem though.

Mark this as solved if it is applicable.

Thanks.

I saw you on discord and you could not find a fix and came to the solution that it was a problem with your PC. If you ever do find a solution, please send it here just in case this issue arises again.

Hmm. This problem might not be a "me" problem after all.

After being stuck with all electron apps throwing the same error, I tried doing scanning for malwares and doing sfc /scannow. I've noticed that all of my Chrome extension would stop working periodically and display an error message. Some of my command line program (npm, node, bash, cmd) doesn't even work and displays an "Access denied" error.

I thought that somehow my hard drive permission were all messed up. I ended up following this guide to "reset" the disk's permission. It ended up doing nothing to the current state.

I ended up doing system restore and the problem was fixed. But then, after reinstalling the client, the problem is back. I've noticed that problems starts arise when the pop up about Badlion Anti Cheat (BAC) needs restart to be installed. So I did another system restore and confirmed that the problem exist after installing Badlions.

TL;DR - scanned for malwares, did sfc /scannow & failed at resetting disk permission. Can confirm about Badlion Client causing the error somehow.

Any update about this? I don't mean to bump the thread but I want this to be solved.

I messaged an admin about this when you realised this might be a badlion problem. You seem to be alone with this problem and I don’t know as much as tech support so I’m tagging them for this.

This is my fifth time trying to install Badlion and since a new minor version has been released, I thought something would've fixed the problem. Nope, the problem is still the same.

Just to be clear:
  • Installing from the installer works all fine, the problem doesn't exist
  • Running the launcher without logging in, the problem doesn't exist
  • Logging in and the message that says you need to restart to install BAC shows, the problem exist (haven't clicked restart)

  • I suspect there is something wrong with BAC and how it modifies system dlls(?). Fortunately, Windows system restore fixes the problem but it uninstalls Badlion at the first place.

I am willing to spend my time fixing this bug. I would like to give access to my computer by using Teamviewer. Please do contact me on Discord if needed.

No, I don't want to reinstall Windows to fix the problem.

    Hi.

Can you please submit this file onto workupload.com COMCTL32.dll (should be in C:\Windows\System32)

I don't think there is a problem with the Badlion Client, but we are willing to take a look at this.

    Hello

Sorry for the delay. Here is my dll before installing Badlion.

I can upload the dll after installing Badlion needed.
