First, I think a very important thing is scrollable tooltips. It is for people that play on a larger GUI. You can scroll through text to prevent text overflow in enchants, etc.

Second, I think for all the mods like cps, fps make it so you can also make it plain brackets
like this: [123 FPS]

Finally, I think for the simple GUI mode make it so there can be a text-shadow so it looks nicer.

These can be simple to add, but very effective and useful.
