I use a large GUI in Minecraft but I don't like the hotbar that comes with it so if there was a mod that made it so you have a normal scale GUI but want a large scale GUI for chests you could do that with that mod.someone made a mod for 1.10.2 that explains this.

also, I've heard that GUI's are messed up for people with weird monitor resolutions so that would help them a lot too
