Optifine not downloading for Minecraft 1.8.9

I decided to get badlion client a few days ago and I saw it came with optifine. I clicked the thing it said downloading but never downloaded. When I got in game, I tried pressing my zoom key for it (Z) and it did nothing. I downloaded optifine for normal minecraft and it worked fine. I don't know why it's not working for badlion. HEyo!In the blc launcher before you launch the game there is a thing/optional settings like what mode you are going to use 1.8.9 1.16.1 ETC on the left of that there should be like a 'Use optifine? [CHECK MARK HERE] click the check mark so it becomes green! HAve A great Day!

Hey,
Optifine is enabled in the launcher, it says its installing but you can't use it ingame. You can't see capes as well.
I do have this problem for a day now. Need help!
