Just started last time I played Minecraft. I don't think I changed anything. The chunks will only load of I place or break a block in the new unloaded chunk. Happens on servers too. Can't see anything but players and other entities. Any help?

try going to Settings -> Video Settings -> Render Distance

Change the render distance and see if that helps you just need to update the chunks
