Minecraft vanilla launcher doesn't download but through clients will?

Title says most of it. I am trying to download vanilla Minecraft because there are features I want to use that I can't though other clients. I am able to download Minecraft though Badlion and Lunar, but the vanilla or default launcher won't install. Keeps showing the error "Unable to update Minecraft native launcher". I have tried everything they tell me to do through trouble shooting and such. Was just hoping or wondering if there was something I missed or if someone here can help. Thanks.

i had troubleunderstanding but if this is what your talking about just get labymod if you want features in vanilla client, its the same but it has more features better preformance and gui better
