Internet Help PLS

Soooo, I have a laptop if you didn't know. I am a child, and still live with my parents. Our FAMILY router is in OUR kitchen (opposite side of the house from my room). I get great up/down speeds and ping speeds when i have my laptop on the kitchen table, however I cant stay here forever. It is awkward when i'm talking to friends and my sister is eating lunch. I was unable to buy a desktop because of this issue. When I move my laptop to my room I get shit ping and up/down speeds. PLEASE give me some fixes to this… I get some money each month for helping my dad with work. (usually around 30$) I could also look into buying my own internet i guess but Im not sure about all the special outlets needed for a router. Enlighten me please.Halp meh.

Run some CAT5E throughout your house from under your basement and either plug into an outlet or setup a wireless access point somewhere.Posted on 01 March 2015 - 03:46 AM

You could setup a wifi repeater in your house. I set one up in my parent's because the wifi didn't cover the whole house.Posted on 01 March 2015 - 03:54 AM
@MasterGberry If you have time, could you tell me how/what's required? I mean not step by step but basic requirements.
