flashing lights, broken gui, 1.8.9

as soon as i tried to change my resource pack the screen bugged snd started flashing. i then hit exit and only a small portion of my screen would be functional. it seemed like the area where the shift gui would appearEDIT: blc3.0 also effected the gui scale of menus and chat
