I want to change my MC version, but there are no other options except the version 1.8.9-which isn't available. What can I do to get the newest versions?

Can you please submit a bug report from the bottom of the launcher? For this issue, we will need logs for further investigation.

Once you will submit the report make sure to check sometimes if a Tech support member replied to you.
