I'm not usually a big fan of this kind of music, but these 2 pieces are brilliant
Well done mors

Number 1: Quite good imo. The only thing that sounded a tad off was the key change near the middle of the piece. But after listening to that section again it quite fits. I enjoyed the switch to triple meter at the end. Good way to finish off the piece.

Number 2: The tempo mixed with the syncopation and rising keys makes it seem faster than it is. Not sure if that was the intended thing, but it has a meaningful effect. I'm guessing it's a work in progress because of the sudden end. Good one.

…. I blacked out did I go nerd again?

#2: Yeah, I need to come up with a better ending for it. Still unsure on how to end it, though

I only had time to listen to #1 cause I'm in class, but it sounds good overall. The amounts of ritenutos in the beginning is a bit much. It makes the piece sound a bit more muddy than it should. Ritenutos should be saved for impact moments in the piece where you want your listener to sort of melt into it. I would recommend to remove a good amount of them and put them only after finishing large musical sentences so it's a bit unexpected and adds character to the piece.

At about 1:36, the chords should be differently voiced as it sounds a little bit clunky and sounds like you're losing an important note in the chords.

In a couple places such as 2:17, I think this should be sped up or you should lead to it with something else. It takes away from the energy of the piece and is just a bit out of place. I would recommend keeping that softer and keeping a melody going in the right hand. You could also try the same progression and voice that differently. You could also wrap the melody around the progression in a way and make a melody just out of the progression itself and keep the energy going. You can then keep it flowing and lead into 2:57 easily and then be able to more comfortably lead into a new section.

In the beginning make sure to have your chords smooth and connected as it creates a more sound musical phrase.

I think you should revisit your motifs later in the piece to give your listeners a chance to say "Oh I know this section!". Don't go too crazy with this though as you don't want it to sound like a broken record. It makes it more catchy and more appealing to the ear.

That's all I got from about 2 listens, but overall this is great! Keep arranging!

2nd one looks like a final boss battle. I love the right hand in that song too :)

Yeah, I agree with you. I wanted to make it a bit dramatic, but the dynamics weren't really suited to that effect. I'll probably keep the one at 0:30.

Perhaps

Yeah, I admit that it does take away from the whole thing. I think it's a good place for another melody, so I'll experiment with it.

I'll probably extend the notes a bit

Probably should do this, as the arrangement already does waver itself a bit from the original

Thanks for your feedback!

You're not that far off, as the original is from a fighting game
