As you may know, this annoying message pops up when you send 2 messages through directly after another:
I was thinking, most donors tend to be more sensible with the amount of messages that they send. If you're like me, I type pretty fast and this message pops up a hell of a lot. It gets annoying and I believe it should be changed for those who donate. They have donated to the server that they like playing, and are limited to when they can say things. Seems a bit silly to me.
Why not just shorten the time for everyone?
The reason is already there, to stop spam. I'm not saying donor's do not spam, but you could at least shorten the length for them. If not just donors, everyone. If mods are on duty, they can easily punish the users for the spam, therefore, there shouldn't be too many problems with it.
Most of the time when you send a second message it's just one word to add on to your previous message, and when there's a 5 second delay, people also get confused with what you're trying to say.
I propose a 1-1.5 second wait instead of 2.5.

We are actually thinking about possibly taking off the chat spam filter for donators/staff (you'll still be blocked from saying eZ and hackusating). The reason for this is donators should know the rules. Right now it's set up to where even admins get blocked by it.Posted on 14 April 2014 - 05:26 PM

I think it's a bit naive to think that donators are more "sensible". Some of the most obnoxious players I have seen on Badlion have been donators. If anything, this may just encourage people to donate so that they can spam more efficiently.Posted on 15 April 2014 - 02:28 AM
