It would probably add a nice twist to Minecraft PVP though. Even then, what good has block hitting even brought to PVP anyway, just think about it. It's just spamming block and hitting, nothing to special.

He said block hitting was being added as a valid 1.9 feature in another tweet somewhere.

But you are going to block with a shield now instead of your sword I guess.

So pretty much you can just spam hotkey between the two and you'll take way less damage? It won't reset your sprint or anything so it won't really affect kb.
