Are people actually boosting on purpose?
IGN : CaramelGum

So here's a scenario, I join a UHC 1 v 1 against MasterGBerry, and he /spawns right away. I haven't communicated with MasterGBerry about boosting me either. So then I join again, and
he /spawns, and I'm like, okay this is free ELO, so I keep on doing that with him without any sort of communication, as if what MasterGBerry was trying to do was bring his ELO down and
not actually "boost me." I was just wondering if some people were banned for being in my position in the scenario.
+ If I was in this scenario for real, what should my actions be?

What you are referring to is elo dropping, and tbh stop joining a ladder for freelo as you are benefitting from an illegal action.
In your ban appeal, state this and if you are innocent you MIGHT be unbanned

stop joining the ladder, report mastergberry on the forums for elo manipulation

We're usually able to tell if the opponent is Elo dropping on purpose, since they'll be doing it to other players as well. You shouldn't get banned for it

this. Senior mods actually have half a brain and are the only ones allowed to deal with elo manipulation offenses. So each ban is carefully looked into to make sure the person isn't related/friends/etc

MasterGberry was testing something on the main server as an FYI, trying to replicate a bug that only happens on the main servers and not the test server (even though they are a copy of each other)
