Thanks for the various reminders for my formal reply. Any casual gaming environment will eventually lead to competitiveness if there is enough generated interest and a high meta game. A primitive example of this is super smash bros melee (my personal favorite game and the only competitive gaming I still do). SSBM started as a casual game that wasn't meant for you to be the best. It had no intention of actually being played competitively, of course nintendo knew that some people may be better then others, but some of the minute details allowed for the game to expand and even today there is still a growing smash scene. Minecraft is similar. Mojang doesn't see it as a competitive game, similar to how nintendo doesn't see SSBM as a competitive game. However the player is the one who chooses the kind of entertainment a game will have. I used to actually participate intensely in the minecraft community scene. I was in one of the top HCF factions during its peek (I was in Badlion map 9), I was in the top Oc.Tc team (impact), and I've gotten top ten in several ladders both on my main and alternative accounts. Back in your so called "good ol' days" I could win 60% of the matches that I played in. This was because of my desire to improve and be the best, however minecraft and uhc is just extremely repetitive. You start losing interest, and stop wanting to play as much. This means that you start losing more and get more frustrated with how things seem to be changing. But the truth of the matter is that nothing really changed. We are still hosting UHC games that are bigger then any other server. We still hit the niche market for players who want to truly demonstrate they are the best. That was always the direction that Badlion UHC had. However you (speaking directly to hockey) have gotten left behind. You aren't at the competitive levels of others and because of that you complete get tunnel visioned and brew negative thoughts. However the truth of the matter in your so called "good old days" the UHCs were laggier, then same 20~ people would win 90% of the games (very similar to how today is too), and the hosts weren't as competent. So no - badlion has grown for the better. The BETA version of Badlion UHC wasn't a famed time, however it was you who made the playing experience nonenjoyable. If the thing that makes Badlion UHC unfun for you is the fact that you can't win anymore then you simply aren't looking at the point of casual gaming.Posted on 20 August 2015 - 07:38 PM

I agree with this however, Badlion UHC's have turn't to shit due to the fact there is sooo many xrayers. I rarely play 2 UHC's a day now… I was playing CS:GO today and i was watching trHowy's stream on my other screen whilst he was hosting honestly i dont know how everyone isn't banned. Literally 19-25 minutes in their is SOOOO many people full diamond who go surface its pathetic and ruins games… That's why I only play special gamemodes (Diamondless, Goldless.) To try and stop x-rayers. Other then that i dont really play UHC's anymore till stats reset ;/
