Ping definitely matters. I'm 1950 global on kohi through US only (200ms), on alts I've tried EU and I can literally eat a pizza and beat high elo people easy because I get 50ms.
every high elo except appletine pussy

ping maybe doesn't matter that much on badlion, but it does on kohi 4sure, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Badware is the one who's correct.Ping only defines how much delay there is between the server and you.
In Minecraft's code, there is nothing that says something like: Knockback= (ping/2)^2 . I fight the same way I would with low ping than I would with high ping. The only difference of having 50 ms and having 200 ms is the fact that things will happen just a little later in the game. This means that if I PvP exactly how I would when I get 50 ms when getting 200 ms, I should get almost the same result(the opponent gets comboed), but delayed.
What Badware was talking about was the fact that if you have higher ping, you can get nastier combos(you can also be comboed more). Because of the delay between you and the server, when you begin to combo somebody when you have 200 ms, you will look like you are about 7-9 blocks away from the other player. However, if they combo you, they will look like they're 7-9 blocks away.
People get so wrapped up in the fact that 200 ms looks so delayed that they change their playstyle so drastically that causes them to do worse. At about 350 ms the game becomes nearly unplayable, but almost everything under that is playable/you can be good with that amount of latency.

Wtf has this thread become lolAll im trying to put out (and this is mostly for EU players) is that not everybody that beats you is a pinger and that there isnt much difference between 30-40 ms

ping only matters when it's working to my opponents advantagePosted on 21 October 2015 - 02:52 PM
The only kits ping really makes a difference in is Gapple, Tank, Kohi, NoDebuff and Vanilla. For the rest of the kits, having a higher ping is good but it won't make a very large difference.Posted on 21 October 2015 - 05:34 PM
You guys are honestly clueless, i used to get about 160ms to us kohi and 100 to eu kohi which is only 60ms different and on eu i took pretty much no kb and claimed the leaderboards fairly easy, but on us i went flying like an air plain every time someone hits me and couldn't even get passed 1600 global …on badlion it doesn't matter as much but it still does, on us kohi my hits barely register and i take weird ass kb, but hey maybe it's all just in my head !!!!!!!!!

Another off the countless ping thread with 2-4 pages of arguing .-.Posted on 21 October 2015 - 07:33 PM
So if ping affects how long it takes for your computer to receive messages… if you have higher ping, when other people move, you don't see it fast enough, so you can't react as fast as them. Therefore, ping does affect pvp. They could strafe left, and by the time you see it they're strafing back rightPosted on 21 October 2015 - 07:50 PM
HAH im still not a pinger! i et 80-100 ms to na! I get 170-180 on eu! REST IN PEICES PINGPosted on 21 October 2015 - 08:02 PM

Badlion could host a lan & you'd still get people calling others pingers. The biggest problem with this game is the community. You can't win.

So many people shit talking here, I agree completely with badware and cirqle an the others with same views. But to all the people saying having 20 ping is op, it's not. Archly did a thread a while ago saying that the way the servers are in mc 20 ms is the same as 50 ms but people think it is way better because it's a lower number. In a game like csgo 80 ms and 10ms are different but it's not csgo it's minecraft. Why don't the people calling pinger just shut up and let everyone enjoy the block game.
