Badlion party system ideas
Posted on 22 October 2015 - 12:06 AM
Ok, I just had a few ideas that can really improve the party system on Badlion. I had two ideas, so let me know which is better in your opinion.A) When a player wants to create a large party, they type a command (/party open) that announces in chat: "*username* is creating an open party! [Click here to join]"
Anyone who clicks gets automatically placed in their party. This way you don't have to waste five minutes inviting a bunch of people. The party leader should be able to prevent certain players from joining if they don't want them to, so they can type (/partyban *username*).
B) Players can type a command (/partyreq *username*) to request to join someone's party, and in the party leader's chat it says "*username* has requested to join your party. [Click here to accept]". This is an alternative way to invite a bunch of people to your party. Instead of typing /party invite twenty times, you can just click on all the requests in your chat.

@*deleted-89753 good point, what if you make it toggleable? This way if you don't want to see the messages, you can just turn them off.Posted on 22 October 2015 - 09:25 PM

Maybe make the party thing kinda like the events where you click on the event (or in this case the party) that you would like to join? I don't wanna see spam in the chat that peoples party are open
I like this idea and the suggestions made by Panda_Chips ! I think having the parties listed like the events it better so it does not clutter/spam chat

Another idea: to reduce spam for my first idea, implement a 5 minute cool down on the command. If you want to invite people you can just do it manually.Posted on 23 October 2015 - 10:18 AM
My concern is that too many people will join or that it will be used to often.Discuss

If possible, make the command: /party open (maximum number of players)
Ex: /party open 10
At ten players, the command cuts off and no one else can join that way.

Make a 5 minute cool down so you can't spam it. If it does spam the chat, increase it to a 10 minute cool down.
