A few Faction Suggestions
Spawners:

Iron Golem Spawner: ($700,000) rewards those who save up enough money by giving them a supply of iron without having to go mine for them.

Zombie Pigman Spawner: ($800,000) Gold Nugget farming can be a decent way to make money but adding the pigmen spawner can also turn out to be a good money sink. It depends on the players ability to weigh the cost of the spawner against their ability to make that money back using it.

PVP:

> Player heads on death: This would be a nice feature and an incentive for more players to get involved in PVP if there was a sort of trophy dropped by the people they kill.

Voting:

I understand why the items received upon voting were taking away and I do agree that some of the stuff was overpowered, but I think leaving in some of the resource/building blocks should have been left in the voting rewards. Things that players can use to build/make potions/etc would give players a bigger incentive to vote every day. I have talked to people who have told me that they don't vote anymore, or as frequent as they used to because most of the rewards they used to get were taken away. In a perfect world, people would vote because they love the server, but we don't live in that world.

God loot/Money Sink

Paying for a chance at a god item: ($50,000-$100,000): A 30-50% chance of receiving a god item when spending $100,000 seems like a fair deal to me. Making it a non-guaranteed thing allows this to be a good money sink. It will be up to players to weigh in the odds of getting a god item against their saved earnings.

+1 for everything but the spawners

I like the money sink idea, voting idea, and heads idea, but if you let people get an infinite source of iron ingots then they'll just sell it to the shop to get their money back.

Maybe my greed for more money inspired the spawner ideas ;)

I mean, maybe people don't want the god items of the people on the server?
What if somebody is impatient and wants to gamble now?
Maybe reduce the price a bit but the idea is solid.

People will not sell god items for 10k. My Faction has help 3 god items and the minimum we sold a helm for was 30k. And like BlackIsWhite said, god items are not just readily available to be purchased so if people want to have one/collect them, it is a nice idea to gamble for one if they are wealthy enough and willing to put in the money. Gambling for god items would be more for those who want to collect them and actually use them. Not sell them if they get one, that is the point of it being a money sink.
