So, recently I've noticed that a lot of the pot community is moving over to badlion and playing BuildUHC. So I decided that I would be a sheep and try it out. After around 5-10 matches I realised that this is a really hard game type and there are a lot of highly skilled players playing this game mode. So, I've made my way to the forums to ask you guys for help, I just want a few tips and maybe some help on the server at this game type. I can jitter and I'm not to bad with the bow or rod, what I struggle with is knowing when to gapple, run, place water/lava or place blocks. On unranked I find myself winning 70% of the fights but on ranked I get destroyed by really low elo players 1300+. Please, I really need some help :OPosted on 28 January 2016 - 03:35 PM
I'm sorry but I cannot help you very much as I rarely play build because i am bad at it.You could PM (Private Message) a high Elo player to ask for some tips and I'm sure they will be glad to help you.

The only time i really use lava is when the person is healing. Place lava under them and then just crit them out. I tend to avoid pre-gappling/heading, since I can usually use the bow to get them down to 9 or lower. If you're going against someone good at bow, make a wall with blocks, and only try to use water when putting yourself out, not running away.Posted on 28 January 2016 - 03:47 PM
Bow someone down if they pre-gap so you can get rid of their absorptionIf you're low run away placing some blocks, if that doesn't stop them place water at least 3 blocks high or rod them away, that usually gets the work done
Most of the players in the server will melee rush you, try bowing them down a bit so you can drain a few healing from them
Be sure you can hotkey to your rod and sword (not necessary but helps)
When someone is near a corner/wall try to place lava on their chest/heads and not feet, since they can't water as easily
Practice a lot and you'll improve
There's more to it but it's all I can think of right now

Ok first off don't judge me off of my build elo lol I go up and down with that. If you really want to get better, observe other people. Lets say you are super good at rod combos but you suck at using a bow, then try to keep your fights just using a bow and get better at it.
