i'd like a rating system instead – # of posts would be nice but certain users with 2k+ posts ascertain my disdain for the attribution of post count to post quality
while not infallible, adding a +1 button would clear up spam posts and may show interest in a post
adding reputation is an iffy subject because i've never been a fan of popularity contests, but it's a forum and we're not anonymous here, so we already have established reputations
