So I have been in the Badlion community for a long time. When I started UHCs would get to 1:33:00 and then be over. But now people are so stats thirsty they will be willing to waste two hours for a number that won't impact there real life in any way. I think this is because camping is so easy to get away with as hosts let someone camp for four minutes, move for 15 seconds and then find a new place to camp for four minutes and repeat. I think camping timers should be a total of 3 minutes and it accumulates. So if I camp for 2 minutes in a corner then fight and back out into a new camping corner I get 1 minute left. This is honestly ridiculous people have to wait so long to finish a game that should have already ended. Also for those who think stats matter, they don't. In 10 years nobody is going to care if you had the best stats for season 2 of Badlion UHC. It won't help you go to college, get a job or anything besides satisfy yourself for a miniscule amount of time that it isn't worth putting so much effort it. Don't get me wrong I try hard and like winning as much as the last guy, but I'm not going to be literally sweaty over it. Because at this point Badlion may be getting bigger, but with people playing and acting like this it is ruining the once great community it once was. It used to thrive for greatness and now all anyone thrives for are stats. Even famous Players do this Like Nikolai who sets a example that stats are all that matter and you shouldn't play for fun. On his streams you here him talking about how he doesn't care if he's toxic and just wants to win. Stop camping and sweating. Play the game for fun, not to get a useless number on a screen. Also if you're full diamond at 0 0 don't chase full irons, go for the other full diamonds like who cares if you had 30 kills yet 25 of them weren't even half diamond. Because like I said it doesn't matter. As well as stop running from fair fights. Just because you can't clean doesn't mean you won't win the fight like really. You don't have to run for five minutes just to have a slight chance at winning when in actuality you're just prolonging the innevitable. Dear hackers, what's the point. Nobody thinks your cool besides yourself and your little butt buddy. Like All you're doing is ruining someone's day potentially. Like if you find that fun then that is sad. And if you're excuse is its just a block game, then your right its a easy block game so why hack. Like if its just a block game why do you even bother playing, or not try and get decent. All in all what I am saying is: Stop camping
Stop caring so much about stats that will be reset eventually.
Stop caring about a number on a screen.
And just be a good member of the community.

Lux, ur being a hypocrite u rage when u deserved a win, u talk about u having wins a lot @LuxbadPosted on 06 March 2016 - 04:14 PM
There's a difference Steve. I get over it. There's a lot of people who all they care for are stats. I like good ones but I would rather have funPosted on 06 March 2016 - 04:34 PM
The camping timer doesn't reset if you move.Last edited on 06 March 2016 - 05:34 PM by Unsighted
Camping happens every game now because people are so fucking stats thirstyAbout half the people camp at 50x50 and you can partially understand that they don't want to lose healing, but it gets to the point where I've seen over TWO HOUR long games because nobody wants to come out and fight, they just secure themselves in cobble huts and wait for the next shrink, meaning the good players who actually DO go out to fight get bowed back when they try to go for someone, no matter what the circumstance, and end up getting drained. There should be harsher punishments for campers.
EDIT: Nikolai is becoming one of the biggest stat whores in the UHC community, when I need my daily dose of salt, I just watch his past streams and skip to the end, where 90% of the time I hear "Fuck you (Insert name of player that killed him here) such a tryhard thought you were better than this"

It's not the fact that it's just a game. There's a bit of reasoning that I would agree with him here. First off, I'd be pretty pissed if I spent 1 and a half ours playing a minecraft UHC to die to a cheater. X-rayers or PvP Cheaters doesn't matter. Another thing is that people need to grow the hell up. This is where I agree with "It. Is. A. Game." when idiots chose to perform illegal activity (DDoSing) to make themselves happy. As well as telling other people to kill themselves, it's absolutely pathetic and needs to stop.

When Archybot streamed UHC hosting, he didn't punish anyone for camping yet they did fight. In 50x50 he selected the entire region with a WorldEdit wand and typed "//replace 4,5 0" and all the cobble was away. Then, using WorldEdit again, he got rid of any potential camping spots – "//set 0" for all mountains and/or peaks. Of course, the players could have built forts again, but they didn't. This method seemed to be really effective then (, and I don't know if it's used today, but if not, I'd like to see it happen.)Posted on 07 March 2016 - 04:22 PM

Only admins would have access to that because it would most likely get abused if normal staff had access to it.

What are the ways to abuse it? You either perform the command or not, there's nothing in between.
Still, it's not that big of a problem to catch one silly staff member than a huge bunch of campers who use very convenient and smart ways/methods/loopholes of camping without getting punished. Also, if you assume they will abuse this permission, why don't you think they abuse all the other privileges they have, why do they deserve the rank in the first place? One staff member abusing is less than x players abusing the fact they cannot follow the rules.
By the way, I don't mean to start a war, sorry if it looks like so, I'm just still convinced that Archy had a g'idea.

Its not even about abuse. Its just about the fact that nobody has access to worldedit outside of admins.

Literally so hypocritical https://www.badlion.net/profile/user/imluxray/punishments and you're saying this community is being ruined by sweats… the only reason people are toxic is because they sweat and hate to lose and it seems like you're very toxic.Posted on 09 March 2016 - 08:58 AM

That's my suggestion, allow the hosts to get the access to the WorldEdit.

I agree. There is no point in camping for 5 entire minutes. The only thing players do is kill time and encourage others to do the same. There have been multiple threads suggesting smaller timers / rule against camping in the 50 x 50 border.+1.
[If you wanted to sound smart (I assume you do since you used decently fashioned words), inevitable has one "n", not 2 ;) ]
