So far after 20 matches of Iron Build, I can say it's a lot better than what I thought it was going to be. Thank you for making 1.9 PvP bearable but still it's own entity. However, it could still use some tweaks. I find that the shield is causing me more harm than good as when equipped, I can't eat gapples or heads nor can I place blocks without the shield getting in my way. I'm most likely going to keep it off my bar from now on, but it would cool if you guys somehow got the shield to work with blocks and healing, among other things.Another problem I'm having is with damage consistency, for example: I can wait a bit longer in between swings and crouch but I'll still somehow lose to the person who swung like you would in 1.7 by about 6-7 hearts. In about 3/4 of the matches I played, my reaction was "how did I kill him that easily" or "how did he kill me so easily", it just didn't feel consistent at all. It's a little bit of shock and awe when I see my opponent do 4-5 hearts a sword hit while crouching + waiting with the sword and I can barely do 3 when I do the same thing. I know I'm not doing much damage to someone when I shoot them with a bow, and while they could have absorp, it's still puzzling how even when I have it my health goes down like nothing else.
Right now it seems alright, but the shield could use a bit of work and doing damage to people feels like a game of chance to me. Pretty happy, but it could still use a few tweaks, good job guys.

Good update, but still a little weird on some spots. There are sometimes where I've got 8 hearts and then 2 hits and I'm dead in SG so thats quite odd imo, not sure if bug or feature since usually crits dont do 4 hearts of damage.EDIT: I've noticed there have been sometimes where it appears I regen 2 hearts very quickly almost as if I ate a gapple, could it be possible that I didn't actually generate hearts? Idk if this is the right place or if it even makes any sense. @Devs

most of the players try to click 6 - 12 cps in 1.9 lol. You have to click 1 cps to 3/4 hit ppl and they really have to nerf the critsPosted on 19 March 2016 - 04:33 PM

This random damage bug is a core issue. We are looking for any help debugging it.

Could it be something to do with vanilla cooldowns interfering with server cooldowns? I know servers that turn it off completely work fine, and servers that leave it vanilla being fine. But because you haven't removed it but instead just reduced it, then is it possible that both cooldowns are running at the same time, leading to more damage?
EDIT: probably not the case since this bug happens with FNS and bow shots too

We already found the issue and fixed it. The fix is live on both 1.9 servers as of now.

Still is happening, and I think it's specifically happening now with the special 'sweep' attack. Is it meant to have more damage in 1.9 (besides hitting multiple opponents)? If so, I think this should be disabled
EDIT: A 1.9 feature is when you eat something and go to full hunger, you get a LOT of regen, usually around half health is gained back. Is there any plan to disable this?
