Gapple Ladder Bug

Ok well um did a fight in gapple and I am not sure whether armor is supposed to not take damage… Did a full fight and neither of us took damage. I won luckily, but yea….https://www.badlion.net/match/arenapvp/1v1-17/614203
I was on 1.7, I am unsure as to what the other player was on.
