Queues and Maps

Hello, I was curious how badlion works when it comes to entering the queue and getting tp'ed to fight your opponent. How do the arena's get loaded are they on different worlds orjust very close to each other and you just get tp'ed to them. Also I was wondering how do the map cycles work, is their more then one of each map? What happens if all of the maps are in use?@MasterGberry

The whole system is customized. I won't get into the internals for obvious reasons. If we run out of maps we run out of maps though :P (we have several copies to avoid this).Posted on 19 July 2014 - 05:55 PM

yea the only thing I was wondering was how do you load several maps onto one server like that

It's one massive void map with arenas flying (FFA is it's own world though). Type "/spectate on" next time you're on and fly around. To tp to a specific player while in spectate do /spectate player <name>As for running out of maps, we used to run out of maps at around 700 people. We increased the maps by 50% then, so we should be good until 1,050 people on potion.
