Combat FPS Drop

So when I play uhc, and get in a fight, I loose every time. My minecraft usually works with solid 150-400 fps, but when I get in a fight in a UHC, it drops to 5-20 fps. Its being really annoying and I can't do anything. it also happens in MiniUHC. The most annoying thing is that fps drops when im killing mobs. So I usually get damaged by spiders or skeletons.Please help! It would mean the world to me!
