Supply and Demand
After playing an EU FFA UHC I decided to make this post:

OK, supply and demand, it is a simple concept. There can be a certain things that have a high demand and a low supply. This can cause numerous problems, as we see with certain natural resources becoming scarce in supply, yet increasing rapidly in demand.

Now, this links with badlion surprisingly. At 9 PM GMT, there was one UHC which managed to fill to 600 players. This resulted in massive drops in server performance, and people were complaining in chat about the constant lag. At one point the TPS dropped to about 7. On the website the EU FFA UHC planned to have a 275 player slot, but more than doubled in players. Why is this? Because there was only one UHC being hosted at that time, and the previous hosted games happened a while ago.

Now, this is an example how there is a high demand for UHCs, but a low supply evidently. There is one option which I posted on the forums, which was to put a genuine player limit, but found out this is not possible since it goes against what the player donated, and is technically fraud

Badlion has so much potential, I don't think some people realize this. You can't go onto any other server and play a UHC with 300 other players. This problem with UHC's overfilling has became a problem as badlion have failed to meet the demand of the growing popularity

UHCs will fall downhill if these problems are not addressed. Eventually, if this is not fixed, overfilled UHCs will no longer be a problem as fewer players will even want to join in the first place.

Option1) You really need to start putting more of your energy into hosting more UHC's. More UHC games can be hosted, which will increase the supply of UHC and meet the demand, meaning there will be a healthy number of players in each game. Everyone will have a better experience and UHC's will continue to grow. When UHCs lag, each and every one of those players has to experience the lag. This will stop the new players, who have never tried badlion UHC to possibly stop playing and move onto a different server. It should be your top priority to address this problem

Option2) You could let UHCs overfill like they do, but upgrade your hardware where the UHCs are hosted so the servers can handle with high amount of players. This could work however would be costly. I'm sure option 1 would be better, but there are not always hosts to claim each UHC.

So please put more time into looking for more hosts, so more UHC's can happen. It is evident that the demand outweighs the supply, which is why UHC games should be hosted more frequently. Thank you.

I mean. A point that I should have put. The people who play badlion UHC a lot ( the regulars) are going to keep on playing, even if they lag. I'm talking about the everday player who goes on mcsevers and sees badlion. They log on, play a laggy UHC, log off and find another server. It's about getting new players Hooked on badlion UHC, not keeping the regulars happy.

On the contrary, a player who just logs in wont be able to play an eu game (lol) and it is unlikely for them to be able to get into a game without checking the website for times before hand.

Exactly! They can get in the AU's and see the underfill. :P. Then they will leave b/c not enough players are playing.

Finally someone who makes their points well. This is an extremely relevant suggestion and since I got donor today this might start affecting me in some ways, here's how it should be.
The hosts organize themselves in order to host at peak times, they get a graph and make sure they are hosting at the exact moment where more players are playing, in this peak time there should be at least 2 ffa's and 1 team game so most non-donors will be able to join the 3 games and still get some extra players.
Then, they should have a consistent UHC hosting so UHC's don't switch times pretty much daily and have at least a UHC once every hour and a half for 8 hours for each region.
This would take a lot of advertising in order to attract more UHC hosts and to pressure the current ones into hosting some games because there are UHC hosts who haven't hosted in literally months.

Nah, I feel like the more we host these UHCs the less special they will be. Part of what's super popular about our UHCs is that they only happen now and then, "they" being the more popular gamemodes, and that 'special'-ness makes them more popular and increases the demand in and of itself.

We are addressing this issue and getting more EU Hosts to suffice your appetite for a good game of UHC.
