Really need help
So I've been playing Minecraft on a laptop until I get my desktop back and it wasn't half bad a laptop, I usually had around 30/40FPS on Badlion but as of 2 days ago my laptop has just completely messed up. I get similar frames as to before but at least every 4 or 5 seconds the frames drop to like 5 for a few seconds or the game freezes for a few seconds, its unplayable and quite a shame because the laptop itself is pretty decent. I've restarted the laptop multiple times, switched it off and left it to rest but it still wont let me play MC properly, can someone please help :C

Turn render distance to 2
Turn off all particles and animations
Put advanced gui on auto
Use a low res texture pack

How old is your laptop? You might want a new one

Turn Smooth lighting off.

Make your render distance to 7.

And make sure to have a "." in every sentence.

Hm, I have a crappy, shitty, 2009 laptop so I use SO many fps boost tricks LOL. Might be a long list. Ask me how to do any of these if you don't know how.
-Allocate more memory to MC
-Task manager > Processes > Set Priority to High/Realtime (my pc doesn't let me do realtime)
-Razer Game Booster (doesn't work with above method tho)
-Small windowed mode, helps a shitload
-Set desktop to one solid color after doing above method
-Make sure all the texturepacks you don't use are moved into the LEFT column, not the right one (slows down game loading)
-Graphics fast, render distance 2, all your generic fps booster settings
-Go to your .minecraft folder, and locate your options.txt (options) wordpad-type file. Locate maxFPS, and set it to something ridiculously high, like 1000000 (it actually works, trust me, besides, there's no downsides of doing this)
-16x16 packs ofc
-WARNING: THIS WILL CAUSE YOUR PC TO LOOK HIDEOUS: (Windows only): Control panel > Appearance and personalization > Adjust screen resolution > Turn to lowest or simply lower values.
-WARNING: THIS WILL ALSO CAUSE YOUR PC TO LOOK HIDEOUS: (Windows only) Search for "adjust the appearance and performance of" in the search thing, and click first result. Turn it to adjust for best performance.

Go to Task Manager > Applications > Minecraft thingy > right click it > Select Go to Process > Right click the highlighted icon (javaw.exe) > set priority > high

Hope this helped

Look up on youtube how to get better FPS and it will show you vids of how to get good FPS by changing your settings a little bit. (Also I would recommend getting optifine if you have not gotten it on your laptop because Optifine helps you get better FPS

Hope this helped
