The one thing that has always kept me away from playing badlion for ta while is that it is so melee centric, it seems the bow is almost never used. I can't get decent at melee no matter how hard i try even after playing UHC for 2+ years, and i just can't have fun when all that happens is I get melee rushed. I have a feeling im just going to get the argument that I should just learn to melee and combo and stuff, but i've been trying for 2 years, and it hasn't worked.I'm just wondering why the bow seems disregarded unless the person is like 1-2 hits from dying. People will see eachother just barely in the render distance, both would have arrows and a bow, and they would just melee rush. I just can't understand the logic in it, when you bow you can deal damage while staying at range. also \o/ praise bowspam \o/
Also, maybe a possible solution for the people that don't like melee (such as me), there could be a scenario hosted rarely that encourages bowfighting. Don't have any great ideas though :P

The deal is, he's kinda right. There are so many pingers on Badlion that they tend to melee rush a lot, and that has an effect on the community. Sword is very ping based, and having a very high latency is gonna screw you over in so many fights. There are players that don't get 20-30ms, guys. And we prefer bow if we think wtapping is very complicated and hard to learn. I thought of 1.8 games because the sword is so buggy and fucked up, and the bow is emphasized. So that's my input.

I think it is because Bow drains healing in most cases and healing in Badlion UHC is a huge factor of winning, because if you have little healing in 100x100 you won't win most likely.Posted on 31 March 2016 - 07:09 AM

usually on badlion players never use the bow because of the big ammount of healing, absobtionless games encourage bow fights because when you gapple you are still at low healt and you can be killed with a shot.There are bowspammers that still use the bow at 5 blocks (cyburgh) and i hate that, uhc community are not balanced reddit has bowspammers badlion has swordrushers

since the new update, sword is so much more ping based compared to bow because of the racist kb amount
