Hey, I am pretty bad at BuildUHC. I come on often, but I always get wrecked.To all great PvPers and Youtubers, what would be your best tips to help a newbie like me, become better at BuildUHC. If not, just PvP in general.

-Watch some youtubers (Good ones like Danteh and Hivlik.) and see how they play. That should really help you understand how pvp works.-Play on 1.7
-Change your fov to something that you like (I'd recommend 75-85 because lower fov stretches the hitboxes.)
-Use the bow but don't spam it, bow spamming won't make you any better.
-Rod before you get in hit range of your opponent so they'll get knocked back then go in and combo.
-Once you get the first hit of a combo release w and press it again a few times to stay distanced (w tapping)
-Practice keeping your crosshair on your opponent (Diamond ocn or pot ladders are good for practicing this.)
-Use hotkeys to switch between items (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) and if you can't reach 7, 8, or 9 easily switch them to easier keys on the keyboard.
-Always pick up your water after you place it, if you don't your opponent will block it off and lava spam you.

Watching pvp tutorials on youtube might help.You could also learn/practice different playstyles/techniques like strafing etc.

When someone heals lava and crit spam
Put crucial items on hotkeys you find easier to reach (Sword, rod, Lava, water)
Just get decent with the rod and you should be fine, it's not hard to get 1800+ in build.

Best tips I can give (I'm not the best myself) are to just back off and heal a lot. Play aggressively at times, but you need to know when to heal and when to fight. When running water bucket, heal, and then bowspam if you have the time. Make sure you use your rod.Posted on 12 April 2016 - 07:42 PM
