So, if any of you played MC around 2012- late 2013, you may remember how (Most) survival games servers were. Where it was truly about survival, and not about getting completely stacked off of spawn (Although it could happen, it was nowhere near as common as it is today) And it was a lot more fun (For my anyways, I understand not everybody liked it) and it really felt like teams were not as dominate, because instead of both having diamond swords and full iron (again, it COULD still happen, but it was nowhere near as common) they had to share gear and it didn't feel like unless you were a PVP god, you could really take on 1v2's maybe even 1v3's. With how easy it is to get amazing gear, it feels like the "meta" of the game is to have a teammate just cause it is so easy to get gear and when you have 2 people, it's so easy to just terrorize the solo players that don't have friends (Like yours truly) The feeling of getting a mix or iron and gold armour, plus an iron sword really made you feel like a god among men in the old survival games, and getting an diamond sword? Forget about it! If you got a diamond sword, you knew you were in position to win. Now, there can be 3 diamond swords, 3 people will full iron armour, and it felt like whoever was the better fisherman would win (Which I get, you know. The "Stacked" survival games is fun, I just enjoy the survival games where it truly is about surviving on the very limited supplies you get)

Anyways, hope you guys enjoyed my "mini-rant" the whole point of this is to see what you guys think of the new Survival Games vs the "Classic" Survival Games, this was not meant to rag on the new Survival Games (Which I know it seems like it) I'm just blinded by nostalgia :p

ok it was fun but i do like how the community evolved i have payed for a very long time 2013 but i think that the current sg is as fun as the old sg in my opinion since i have played quite a few games it is very refreshing au1.mcsg.in u remember that kind sir

Yeah, I remember, refreshing those servers and then getting kicked was always fun xD And yeah, I like how the community evolved as well, just wish there were still options like the old versions

If full iron was rare back then. Explain how on my very first SG game on MCGamer I fought a team of 2 full iron diamond sword. (In 2012)

In my opinion i absolutely prefer the "classic" survival games, hour long games were absolutely amazing and it was even more fun when playing with friends. Although the new games are a lot faster and more intense I much prefer the older games since it had such an amazing gameplay experience because it required patience since it was much harder to find players. I remember me and my friends used to climb up a tree near spawn on SG1 after we all had enough gear to be able to get players, It was really fun.

I think that the "classic" SG was better for RR's due to its length. Personally, I have never experienced one of these before, but that is my opinion. I think that the newer SG is much better than the old for servers do to the quick length. Uhc has evolved from enchants being difficult to get to potions every badlion game, and full diamond.
