nowadays people with good ping are impossible to beat and by good i mean under 90ms (they can pull sick combos, and hit detection is better…)i find it impossible to beat a player with 10ms ping and 40ms ping
so do you think ping is taking over Minecraft Multiplayer PVP @MasterGberry @Archybot @frogmike ? i know that skill still have effect in PVP but ping raped skill nowadays :'(
PING is giving a really unfair advantage to some players and there's nothing we can do about it… :/

I'm sorry if I sound rude hereBut please stop tagging me in threads that aren't related to me at all. I'm sure the Administrators would say the same. You don't need to use bold to emphasize what you're trying to express, either.. <.<

Since the staff really don't want to be apart of this debate, I will gladly answer this.
PING was always a thing, it just recently starting to become a "HOT" topic due to the sprint key. No offense PING or "MS" has always been the same thing. Back in the day people who had good ping would still get combos but not that insane range due to the sprint key. The same was for the people with bad connection, they wouldn't lag that much since they wouldn't MOVE that much.
Overall the forums isn't a place to bitch. Minecraft is evolving and ping is getting to be a greater excuse. If your internet isn't reliable try upgrading. If you are REALLY into the game itself move to america! That should solve your problems friend :).
100ms and below is the best connection for minecraft pvp. Overall you can't blame the game. It's YOUR connection after all.

To fix Minecraft PvP would require client side changes, something that Mojang would need to help with.Posted on 27 July 2014 - 01:45 AM

To play minecraft pvp and play it substantially YOU NEED a decent ping. You need decent ping to throw potions, to get consistent combos, and you need it to run the game fluently, without crashing, lagging out, etc..
You can still play with higher ping obviously, just don't expect to be an ApacheBlitz is what im saying.

Still debatable.
I disagree. I think that some higher pings are a 'better' asset than lower pings.

Ok, but would you rather have a smooth, reliable, and trustworthy internet. Or would you like a lagging, spiking, and jittery connection were you are more likely to be at fault in pvp.
Your choice ;).
YOU CAN STILL BE GOOD WITH BAD CONNECTION.
Just don't expect to be an ApacheBlitz like I said.

I'm not sure if you're referencing Apache as an idol or negatively. But, as I said, I view people who have higher pings more at an advantage.

@ComboDombo thank you man for adding a reply to this thread it helps much.and the staff, but it is debatable like varicks said. Some people say that it's all about the skill, some say ping is an unfair advantage… :/ *CONFUSE THE CRaP OUT OF US*
