Ok so I've noticed that there are hackers and people that say "eZ, Rekt" etc. What I think should be implemented is a way to "ban" players from being in a ranked match with you. Most likely if you encounter a hacker or a person who just trash-talks you to death, you could report them and also ban them from your rankings making others not rant about losing ELO to hackers constantly following them or people who just keep trash-talking the person when they win a match against them. Please comment on any suggestions or your thoughts on this idea, and if this gets implemented, thanks staff.Posted on 27 July 2014 - 08:03 PM
If you give someone like me this power, this is what will happen:ANYONE who beats me, will get blocked from a ranked match. Anyone who has a higher ranking than me, will get blocked. I would make it so that I could farm people I could beat, making my ranking completely pointless sense I basically just farmed players worse than me. Also, /ignore.

Edit:Also, the new matchmaking system tries to match you up with another guy with a similar ranking. While I don't know the boundaries of it (Ex. I'm #20 on Archer, will I still be able to fight a #200?), you could still block a lot of people and pretty much not be able to play at all. A small anti-abuse buffer, but I don't know for sure. (I'll check the new matchmaking system soon for more information)
ELO Manipulation is illegal, and this would help people do it even more.

Pretty much thought of that at the last second =P but can't we just limit it to like 5 blocks a day? Average number of hackers I come across.Posted on 27 July 2014 - 08:10 PM

5 blocks? Alright.
Block #1:Metaris
Block #2:nygiants_10
Block #3:SolGoat
Block #4:Parkway32
Block #5:Qazzderp
Rinse and repeat, and within a few days no one above me will be able to fight me. If there ARE hackers or people who steal your ELO or mock you, use /report and /ignore, or record/screenshot them (Depends on the broken rule). If you're patient, you can regain anything you lose.

5 blocks a day? And they reset btw :DEDIT:Think about it like this: You encounter a hacker, no mod online, and even though you could just record them hacking, you'd lose an amount of ELO which you wouldn't if you could just block them, that would help out mods with people who just make threads complainging about losing their ELO to a hacker, I understand you can just block the 5 top players, but you have to know that Badlion is a widely open server and that there aren't like 10 people on normally.. There will be alot of people with higher ELO than you, and if you do block those can't you just lessen your chances of scoring with a big ELO gain since the higher ELO someone has over you, the more you get?
Anyways, it's your opinion, but mine is that 5 blocks a day which resets differently can probably help you out in the long run.

I don't think you understood my second post…all it does is delay the abuse by a small amount.

Just farm people with a lower ELO, it'll work over time. Also, if you really want to help the server, record them. If you fought them you already lost the ELO, just spectate them, record, report, and once they're banned regain your ELO.
The hackers on the server is always changing either if they get punished or they leave, so I'd consider this useless and easily abused.

But we need a reply from others, not everyone will like something, others may like the idea, 5 players isn't much so it's technically not farmable at ALL. you have to think of how many people play Badlion, and you can't tell who is on so even if you do block them, you just wasted it so that will probably help with the little advantage this would give..Posted on 27 July 2014 - 08:43 PM

xD, sorry. I've seen others tagging them so I gave it a go, if he does come I just hope he'd like the idea :DPosted on 27 July 2014 - 09:38 PM
There is already a chat filter in place to stop people from doing this. Those who go around the chat filter are muted and possibly permanently muted.Posted on 27 July 2014 - 10:15 PM
Mostly this is for the hackers, I already knew about ignore but it's leaning towards hackers.
