Before you lock this thread thinking it's another mod application, no, I mean an application as in something you download on your phone with notifications. To be honest, just having notifications on your computer would be fine, so automatically detecting if you've received a notification (I'm new to Java so there may be a more efficient way of doing this), and just letting you know with a notification noise or anything, just so that it would be easier to use. I think the website is a hub for people to chat, and I think some people would benefit from this. This may have been mentioned before, and this may be a little bit out of your reach, but badlion has an amazing staff and I think it should be possible.Like I said, I am new to Java, and have never worked with using Java and HTML in sync, so I really don't know how this would work, if it would work, or if it would require reworking the entire website. I'm no expert, so let me know.

Maybe I was unclear, but what I meant was that I want a way so that if I get a notification I don't have to reload the page, I like have a pop up on the top or something… And also the clans and stuff.

Let me reword this: I just want to get a notification because I don't want to reload the page.That's about it, for both mobile and computer sites. Just auto update and a notification sound.

I'm pretty sure MasterGberry said that the website revamp would make the website mobile friendly. Maybe the revamp will include some tweaks to notifications.

It would be useful yet annoying considering the amount of tags we get lol but I think it would be a very nice feature to have to be able to toggle it on and off. @MasterGberry is this planned for the revamp?

True it wouldn't be doable unless we could toggle it. Also maybe notifications could be sorted into different categories based on where the alert is coming from, so for instance you get an alert to handle a staff abuse report it files into "Staff Abuse report notifications", or you get an alert to look at appeals it files into "Appeal Notifications". This of course means the way notifications are shown would be changed aswell. It would make moderation for staff on the forums more efficient. Sorry if my wording is off, let me know if my wording didn't make sense and you need elaboration.

I fucking love that idea. The ability to sort my notifications for appeals and abuse reports and such.

Edit: Maybe be able to toggle what kinds of notifications? So you could ignore when people respond to a thread of yours, but include tags, or reverse, or whatever you like. So just a basic interface that you can toggle any notifications you like.
